Professional Qualifications, CPD and Professional Memberships

I attend on-going Continual Professional Development (CPD) including talks, presentations, lectures, workshops and events related to my professional work throughout each year including training for online practice.

I hold current registered membership of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS) and I am governed by, and work to their guidelines and within their ethical frameworks. I also have regular professional supervision which supports me in my Counselling and therapeutic practice to the benefit of myself and my clients.

Experience

Counselling Experience

I have been a mental health professional for over 30 years, with experience of providing counselling in a professional work setting, for GP patients, in a community counselling agency and in a hospice.

I have worked with a wide range of clients and I am keen to ensure that counselling is available to all and to anyone who thinks it may be of benefit to them.

Supervision Experience

I have over 20 years experience of giving clinical and management supervision to social care staff in the Public and 3rd Sector for individuals and in groups. I am currently providing counselling supervision for individual counsellors and counselling students in one to one and group settings.
